Bubbles, Banter, and Beer: A Friday Afternoon at Nomad

After another long week of coaxing yeast, scrubbing tanks, and keeping the brewhouse humming, Friday arvo rolled around and with it—our favourite unofficial tradition: “liquid research.”

Now, don’t let the beer goggles fool you—this is serious business. At Nomad, we believe that great brewing doesn’t happen in a bubble. So this week, we took a detour into the world of champagne-style beers.
It started with the bottle. Elegant. Sleek. The label whispered soirée more than session. And the nose? Pure celebration—brioche, white grape, a whisper of citrus. But then we took a sip, and there it was: beer. Crisp, dry, with just enough malt backbone to remind you where you are. It danced on the palate like a hybrid of Old World finesse and brewhouse bravado.
The mood in the brewery was light, the glasses were clinking, and the grins were genuine. There’s something magic about discovering a beer that blurs the lines—a reminder that the world of brewing is a wide and wonderful playground.
So here’s to research that comes with a cork and cage, and to never stopping the adventure of learning what beer can be.
Cheers from the Nomad team—still bubbling with ideas.
